Ministry of Defence (MOD) Jobs Paper Pattern

Candidates applying for MOD Jobs 2022 or upcoming recruitment must understand the test structure.

Applicants first register themselves through the MOD recruitment portal.

After receiving their test slips, candidates have to pass the following stages.

Step 1: MCQs Test

Candidates are given a 125 MCQs paper which includes:

  • 25 Psychological MCQs
  • 100 MCQs from
    • Pakistan Affairs
    • Current Affairs
    • General Science
    • English
    • Mathematics / IQ

Step 2: Descriptive Test

Candidates must attempt a 100 marks descriptive paper including:

  • Short Essay
  • Precis Writing
  • Current Affairs Questions

Candidates must attempt all eight questions.

Step 3: Psychometric Test

In the psychometric test candidates receive a booklet consisting of six sections.

These sections include:

  • IQ questions
  • Sentence making
  • Story writing
  • Word association tests

In the word association test, candidates are given 30 words and must quickly write the first word that comes to mind.

Step 4: Interview

Candidates who successfully pass all tests are called for an interview at their selected centres.

After the interview, selected candidates go through:

  • Security clearance
  • Medical examination

Only after completing these steps candidates are finally appointed in the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
